Abstract

Women face a multitude of challenges in their social lives, many of which are deeply rooted in societal norms, cultural expectations, and gender biases. Gender inequality remains a significant obstacle, with women often encountering disparities in opportunities and recognition. Stereotyping and objectification pose substantial challenges, affecting women's self-esteem. Balancing family and career responsibilities can be challenging due to societal expectations. However, all these challenges are not limited to gender inequality or due to male domination of society. Many challenges faced by women in societal life are due to the negative role of same sex. Women in their family life and professional life face many hardships due to the undesirable role of fellow women. This article explores the nature and scope of such challenges faced by women in society in context of Islamic teachings. Survey method has been used to collected data from women. Females in domestic life and professional life were asked questions related to assess the challenges faced by fellow women. The results of the study show that there is widened divergence from Islamic teachings such as respect, kindness, sincerity and other Islamic moral values. It is recommended to study further on this unexplored area of study to protect women from exploitation of women with the help of Islamic teachings.
