Abstract

This research paper discusses the subject of eyebrow making and its Shariah rules. The topic was chosen because this fashion is becoming very popular among the people nowadays. And in this matter, there has been a dispute among the Shari’ah scholars in every era from different perspectives. The study sought to uncover the truth and seek the view and opinions of scholars. First of all, it is better to avoid these things, but if it is impossible to avoid them, then at least avoid the ways that are forbidden by Islamic law and which cause the destruction of society. This research discusses the authentic hadiths about “Nams”, the literal and figurative meanings of “Naamisa” and “Mutanamisa”, the reasons for raising eyebrows in the modern age and their modern method. The approaches of previous and present scholars were presented and discussed. In the end, the gist and summary of all these things is given.
