Abstract

Ibne Hazam (995-1063 AD) is a poet, writer, philosopher and jurisprudent. He was
born in Qurtuba (Cordova). So he is called Qurtubi. There are controversial views
about his family. Though his family includes one of the families which made the
history of Undulus, he spent his early life in seeking knowledge. He learnt "Logic"
from Muhammad Bin Hassan Qurtubi, and "Hadith" from Yahya Bin Masood. He
learnt "Shafi-Fiqh" from the Scholars of Qurtuba. He became well versed in this
religion. Then he joined "Zahiri-Fiqh". Even he became famous as a "Zahiri".
Ibne Hazam experienced the riot which arose in the city of Qurtuba. At that time he
wrote his book."طوق الحمامة في الألفة والآلاف" Then he left Qurtuba and settled in the city of
Al-Mariyya. There he was busy in political race and kept trying his best to revive
Umayyad Caliphate. During this struggle he faced many problems. He tried to get
back to Qurtuba but failed. When Ummayyad Caliphate came to an end in Undulus
he remained busy in writing books. He wrote many useful and informative books.
 "الفصل في الملل والأهواء والنحل، طوق الحمامة في الألفة والآلاف، نقط العروس، الإحکام في أصول الأحکام" some of which are rare. Ibne Hazam is regarded as a pearl in political, academic and literary history of Undulus.He spent a life full of woes and worries. The present article consists of his expert views and opinions about Jurisprudence, religions and sects that can be seen in his book "والنحل الفصل في الملل والأهواء" this book is considered an encyclopedia of religions and sects. In this article, presented not only the views of Ibne Hazam but those of contemporary jurisprudent and Hadith Narrators. In the end we have tried to call the extremists and violent people back to moderateness because our religion Islam is a religion of nature and invite us to moderateness.
