Children are regarded as gifts of Allah Almighty. Of the total population of any society, almost forty percent of population is comprised of children. They are the source of joy for their parents in their childhood and on becoming adult, they provide comfort and support to them. They provide social security to their family and hence the society. Despite, they are the most vulnerable part of the society, sometimes their rights are undervalued. Keeping this void in view, in this article, rights of children from neonate to puberty have been discussed in the light of Quran and Sunnah. As, Islam being the complete code of life provides a comprehensive set of instructions and road map to their parents and guardians of children. Islam provides the right to life, right to love, right to select a meaningful name, right to aqeeqah, right to circumcision, right to suckling and nursing, right to education, right to fulfill financial obligations and much more. It is advisable to fulfill the basic rights of children so that major portion of society can be prevented from deterioration.
