Abstract

Allah the almighty, has granted humans a code of conduct for their lives so that their lives be disciplined, and should not be unchecked like that of animals. The beauty of human lives lies in following this code of conduct. Allah alone has created this whole universe, and He, alone is the Lord of everything Besides all this, He alone has bestowed the blessings of many hardly things and their ownerships to humans, but in a limited manner. It simply means that there are certain limitations attached to the ownership. What are those limitations and how can the ownership be beneficial to humans? All owners of the worldly possessions are subjects to these limitations while using the things in one’s possession. The  one’s limitations imposed on are for all owners and they must be accepted and followed. Keeping the possession uncontrolled, like capitalism does, will result will in injustice with and among other human beings and in chaos as well. Surely, the teachings of Islam do not allow this to happen. Never the less, Islam teaches humans to increase the ownership by just and lawful-Halal sources keeping oneself away from usury-Riba at the same time. Islam allows to have benefit from the granted ownership without hurting the interest of others. For instance, it is lawfully permitted to a person to dig a well, if the need is so, on one’s own land. But if this causes discomfort to others the owner, then, is not permitted to do so.
