The Qur'an was revealed in Arabic and in the Quraysh dialect. But According to Hadith, seven other dialects were also allowed to be recited and this permission continued till the time of Hazrat Uthman. Then when the people started arguing and started calling each other wrong because of the difference of recitation, Hazrat Uthman ordered to collect the Qur'an and make it according to the Quraysh dialect. This will make people understand that the seven letters that were allowed in the hadith have now expired, for instance Ibn Jarir Tabari and Orientalists. So, in this research details of seven alphabets have been explained vividly, Besides Three different opinions about meanings of seven alphabets have been expounded. It studies the issue of whether the written version of the Qur'an collected by HazratUthman “does encompass the seven versions of recitation or not?” It cites the scholars’ sayings on this issue and their proofs, and discusses each of these sayings separately.
