Abstract

A Hadith refers to a collection of sayings, actions, approvals, and descriptions of the Prophet Muhammad in Islam. These reports serve as an important source of guidance for Muslims in matters of religious practice, morality, and law, alongside the Quran. They provide additional context and details about the teachings of Islam. They are classified based on their authenticity, with Sahih (authentic) being the highest level of credibility. And Proverbs are short, traditional sayings that offer advice, wisdom, or a general truth about life. They often convey a moral lesson or provide practical guidance. They are typically passed down through generations and are a common form of folk wisdom. Proverbs of believers in prophetic Hadiths often encompass various aspects of faith, morality, ethics, and practical guidance for daily life. They serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for Muslims in their spiritual and ethical journey. Some of them are as follows:

’’ مثل المؤمن كالنخلة ‘‘(A believer is like a palm tree(,’’مثل المؤمن كالأترجة‘‘(A believer is like a tangerine,)’’مثل المؤمن كالنحلة‘‘A believer is like a Honey bee(,’’مثل المؤمن كالفرس‘‘(The believer is like a horse),’’مثل المؤمن كالخامة من الزرع‘‘(The example of a believer is like the first green shoot of a plant),’’مثل المؤمن كالقطعة من الذهب الأحمر‘‘(The believer is like a piece of red gold),’’مثل المؤمن كالسنبلة‘‘(The believer is like a spike),’’مثل المؤمن كالجسد الواحد‘‘(The believer is like one body),’’مثل المؤمن كالشعرة البيضاء‘‘(A believer is like a white hair),’’مثل المؤمن کالعطار‘‘(A believer is like an apothecary). These proverbs emphasize the importance of sincerity, self-control, family values, and the pursuit of knowledge in the life of a believer. Also These proverbs provide valuable ethical and moral guidance for Muslims, promoting virtues such as gratitude, strength of faith, pursuit of knowledge, mindful speech, and the significance of good deeds.
