Abstract

The fundamentals of Islamic civilization are drawn from the Quran and Sunnah (the sayings and deeds of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him). According to these important sources, this research article tries to give a succinct overview of the essential traits that characterize Islamic society. Islam's sacred book, the Quran, is the main source of instruction for Muslims in all facets of daily life. It places a strong accentuation on the value of monotheism (Tawhid), justice, compassion, and moral conduct. The cornerstones of an Islamic society are these values. The Quran encourages Muslims to worship only Allah, which strengthens the sense of community and purpose in the Muslim community. Justice (Adl) is also given a lot of attention in the Quran. Islamic society is required to uphold justice in all of its manifestations, including in the legal system, interpersonal relationships, and business transactions. Regardless of their backgrounds or socioeconomic standing, all members of society are treated fairly and equally under the Quranic idea of justice. The Sunnah is a supplement to the Quran, offering real-world examples from the life of Prophet Muhammad as a role model for Muslims to adopt. His integrity, fairness, and concern for others serve as an example for everyone in Islamic society. These characteristics serve as the foundation for moral behavior and positive interpersonal interactions within the community. Islamic culture is distinguished by a strong sense of ummah (community). The Quran promotes a feeling of brotherhood and sisterhood among its followers by encouraging cooperation and mutual assistance. Muslims are urged to lend a hand to one another, especially when they are in need, fostering the idea of a close-knit community. The significance of education in Islamic civilization is also discussed in the study because of how highly valued knowledge and learning are there. As a reflection of the intellectual curiosity that should be fostered in an Islamic community, the Quran encourages the study of knowledge and wisdom. This scholarly review highlights the key traits of an Islamic civilization as described in the Quran and Sunnah in its conclusion. Monotheism, justice, compassion, moral conduct, a sense of community, and knowledge are a few of these. Building a robust and peaceful Islamic community that represents the teachings of Islam and the example of Prophet Muhammad depends on comprehending and upholding these values. The improvement of Islamic societies and the wider world can result from further research and use of these qualities.
