This research paper presents a historical background of the development and rise of Muslims in the fields of science and technology. During the early Islamic era, the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah highlight the importance of acquiring knowledge, which inspired Muslim scholars to study and expand upon Greek, Persian, and Indian sciences. During the Abbasid Caliphate, intellectual centers such as Bayt al-Hikmah (House of Wisdom) were established, promoting research, translation, and experimentation. Renowned scientists such as Al-Khwarizmi, Ibn Sina (Avicenna), Al-Razi, Ibn al-Haytham, and Omar Khayyam made remarkable contributions in astronomy, mathematics, medicine, chemistry, geography, and engineering. Their scientific achievements later laid the foundation for the European Renaissance. The objective of this paper is to highlight the crucial contribution of Islamic civilization to the advancement of science and to emphasize the significance of the Muslim world.
